Appointments

I am learning the adminstrative mazes of Keystone, scheduling nurses, and referrals. Today, thanks to a great scheduler at Penn, I got an appointment with a new surgeon, Dr. Julia Tchou, for Friday. I also have an appointment with an oncologist on Tuesday next week. This is exactly what I was hoping for! If all goes well (if you can call it that), I will have surgery scheduled for next week. I can't imagine it would take much longer than that. So this is great news! On Thursday, I am meeting with my previous surgeon (Dr. Park) to go over the tests that I had done yesterday (bone scan, blood work, chest xray). MRI is on Friday. Things are moving. All this makes me feel a bit more in control. I am tackling this challenge like I've done with so many other challenges in my life: with preparation, organization, determination, perseverance, and commitment.
