The first good news
Last night, Dr. Park called me (she said she wanted to let me know about SOMETHING in advance!) to tell me that the bone scan and chest xray are both negative - yay! That means that the cancer has not metastasized, so that is a relief. The MRI is scheduled for Friday night, and she wants to have it done sooner, but I kind of doubt that. I even went over to the MRI place on Monday with dad to get on a waiting list, but I haven't heard from them. But it was nice to know that Dr. Park is thinking about me and trying hard to make up for her previous errors in judgment.
My dreams have been vivid and pretty transparent, and I want to share one that I had last night, after hearing the good news. Basically, I was sleeping (in the dream) and someone opened the door to my house and dumped a huge load of stuff into my house. When I went down, all this trash was piled up at the front door, and among it was a huge spider that immediately spun a web and attached itself to me. I thrashed around and tried to get rid of it, but it was tenacious and wouldn't let go. I rolled around and when I got up, the spider was shrivelled up, hanging by its web. So, I'm taking this to be a good sign that I am going to squash this cancer like a bug!
