Enough about me, let's talk about me

As predicted, the past few days have been up and down. I'm never sure, when I wake up, how I'm going to feel. I open my eyes with hope and trepidation, scanning my body: how DO I feel? was THAT there yesterday? is THIS better today? Once I'm up and around (which usually takes awhile), most of my time is spent monitoring everything going into - and out of - my body. This is an unbelievably huge challenge. Since I'm never sure how I'll be feeling an hour from now, I try to take advantage of the times I'm feeling good to get some nutrients in: five servings of fruits and veggies, lean protein, fluids, fluids, fluids. It's CRAZY how much work this takes! Tiring, too. I take a nap every day.

I am trying to exercise, though, walking on the treadmill. Put one foot in front of the other, and just keep going, one step at a time, one day at a time. Every step forward is one more I've gotten through.

Oh, also: my Verizon email (rachel.levin@verizon.net) is back up and working - so keep the emails coming! I love hearing from all you awesome people out there! Your encouragement, support, and love ALWAYS lift my spirits.
