High anxiety over here at the Levin house today, until Dr. Tchou called at 3:30. The good news is that the breast is clean - she got all the cancer out. No more surgery! The not-so-good news is that of the 13 lymph nodes removed, seven were positive. Probably, this does not make a big difference in terms of treatment - if it had been one or all 13, it's still going to be very aggressive chemo. But because of the number of positive nodes, there is a chance that it has spread, so I'm having a CT scan next week. More tests, more waiting. However, the news today has really helped settle my nerves. We know the beast a little better, and we know that its days are numbered!
