The bandages came off today, but I still can't tell for sure if the finish is pleasing or not because the incision is covered in steri-strips. I pulled some of them off, because I'm curious. The scar looks longer than I'd thought - about 1.5" - and it MIGHT be not completely straight. It's hard to tell.
As for the port, well, you can definitely tell it's there. It's like a third boob, the way it sticks out. Great, a crooked scar and unwanted bump on my chest. But it's there, it's in, and it's ready for Taxol. At this time tomorrow, I will be more than halfway through.

Your Dr.E sounds constipated - not someone I'd want to drink Margarita's with. But the, most surgeons are weird. They have to be - to able to cut into people without barfing. BTW, I think you and Veronica make a gorgeous pair. And you'll be surprised at how fast scars fade.
