One more to go

Today's treatment was uneventful, basically a repeat of the video . I've been feeling really energetic, even completed the five-mile walk, Making Strides for Breast Cancer, on Sunday (thanks to everyone who came out and made donations!). Even got to wear my silly blue wig! It was a great day, lots of fun and very inspirational.
My hemoglobin was low today, however, so I got another shot of Aranesp. We also got to meet with the radiation oncologist, Dr. Solin, just to go over briefly the plan for the next couple months. Two weeks after my next and last chemo, I'll get a CT scan, meet with Dr. Glick to go over the results, and then meet with Dr. Solin. Because of those suspicious internal mammary nodes, we are going to radiate that area, which, because it's on my left side and because I'm thin and have not much boob left, will be perilously close to my heart. That of course raises the risk for cardiac toxicity (which means that the heart muscle is weakened, leading, somewhere down the line, to congestive heart failure). Unlikely, but they had to tell me. And it won't make a difference anyway. We are going for CURE, and this is part of the process. Most likely, I'll start radiation on November 28 and have six to seven weeks of it (five days a week).
I'm really excited that there is only one treatment left, and I am really positive about the goal!

You are awesome. And Veronica's cousin, the blue wig, is too. Can't help but wonder what her name is.

You remain in my prayers. May you be written in the Book of Life for a complete and speedy recovery. Sending you lots of love,
Mina
Congratulations on the walk! Do you realize how many people NOT going through chemo couldn't finish a 5-mile-walk??!!! You continue to amaze!
Be Well-
