Nice sleeve, hon!

Walking Nikita through the neighborhoods of Fishtown and South Kensington in Philadelphia is rarely an occasion to do some grass-roots marketing. However, I had two such opportunities today - probably made possible by the somewhat bold Leopard LympheDIVAs Armsleeve. First, a youngish red-faced white man, no doubt on his way to the corner windowless bar, shouted at me from across the street, "Nice sleeve, hon!"

Then, not two minutes later, two older red-faced white guys spied me from across the street, and as I walked up, they asked, "Is that a sleeve or a tattoo?"

"A sleeve!" I said, walking up to them. Nikita wiggled and wagged.

"Could've fooled me," one of them said.

"And it's a compression sleeve, a medical device. And it's my company, I make them." (Absent from my description: the words "breast" and "cancer." Why go there if it's not totally necessary?)

"Wow," one of them slurs. "Do you do logos? Like a Phillies logo or somethin'?"

"Not yet, but we get a lot of requests for sports teams," I said.

"Cool."

So there you go! Who knew leopard armsleeves would be so popular among the blue collar white guys of Fishtown? I think we might have a new market.
