Snake charmer

I just saw this amazing thing on TV. I doubt if anyone else has ever watched the show "Maximum Exposure" - it's "raw footage of extraordinary situations." There was a piece about a young man in Indonesia who catches cobras, milks their venom, and then sells it as anti-venom. Now, he doesn't just shoot the snake or hit it over its head or something easy like that. His family believes that cobras are sacred, so when he has grabbed its tail, he stares into its eyes and then kisses it, very slowly, on its head.

There are some lessons in this:
Respect something dangerous. Get close, but not too close. Use everything in your capacity to tame it. Never forget that it can kill you. But get what you need, and keep going. And you just might be able to help other people.

Rachel,
I understand you and Jason might be getting away this weekend! How wonderful for the 2 of you. I was invited to have lunch with your parents which will be alot of fun (as long as my 4 year old is in cooperation mode). I just wanted to tell you to have a wonderful weekend and try to stay away from any venomous cobras! You're at a wonderful place right now. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!!!!
