This is what really believing feels like
I tried something last night at 2:30 am, when I woke up and was discouraged to find that the pain on the right side of my upper chest was still there. It had been pretty intense all day Saturday, and I just didn't think I could spend another day like that. So I said to myself, This pain WILL go away by the morning. This pain CANNOT be here in the morning. I said it over and over. I was angry, and frustrated, and I felt that if I willed it to be, it would be.
When I woke up, the pain was gone. Today was a good day.
This is what faith feels like, then. This is what really believing feels like. This is what the power of prayer feels like. This can happen. I can make it happen. You can help make it happen. The drugs will work, my body will grow stronger, the cancer will go into complete and permanent remission. I realized today how important it is to keep that focus, because it DOES make a difference.

I am a firm believer in the power of positive prayer, it really does work. It's so important that you keep this healthy, wonderful attitude. It will get you through the toughest of times and we're all positively thinking and praying with you every hour of every day.
