Sneaky and quick
I received most of the results from the tests yesterday. The butt MRI was something but not cancer, so I don't really care. The CT showed no new bone mets, but in the liver, some mets shrank, some grew, and there were some new ones. It was the right choice to switch treatment. I still find it amazing how sneaky cancer is. Sneaky and quick.
I am still pretty exhausted, having spent most of the night up and in the bathroom. I'm not sure how I feel about the test results. They're always shades of gray - nothing entirely good or entirely bad. If Navelbine works as well as Carbo/Gem did, then we're in a good spot, considering there are fewer tumors now.
Still haven't gotten back the tumor marker tests yet. I will update when I find out.

cancer is sneaky and quick...and a pain in the butt -- but luckily, not a pain in yours...phew. what a rough couple of days for you -- hang tight for the tumor markers and then you'll have the full picture for where things stand now. find a snuggly blanket and a snuggly spot on jason and take a deep breath for the night. thinking of you both.
Rachel,
with every bump in the road we must find the positive. You did so well with Carbo/Gem, it seeems logical that Navelbine will be just as powerful. Hang in there, be strong and let us all ban together for you like we do so welL, now and always.
xoxoxo,
Barb
Go Navelbine. We have another tool in our arsenal. Sending you positive thoughts and power to the drugs. Stay strong. We care.
They say it's going to be a good week to lay low... cold and wintry and your house is so cozy. Hey, I don't know what a "Butt MRI" is, or what it looks like, but it sounds like maybe the film belongs on your refrigerator.
Sending good energy and happy thoughts--
Sean
Greetings to my favorite human chemical experimental station! Your determination and your ability to see the brighter side of things is awesome and reminds the rest of us not to sweat the little stuff.
May the Festival of Lights bring joy to you and Jason.
Love,
Mina
Butt MRI!? I have clearly missed a few posts and need to catch up.
