Counts
Today's counts had me at 66,000 platelets - not in the danger zone, but definitely not good enough for treatment. My hemoglobin was a little low, so I got some more Procrit. White counts still good.
I was up most of last night with some tummy turmoil and a really bad case of post nasal drip. I think that's why, in the morning, I was feeling a little nauseous. But by this afternoon I was feeling better, working in the office. Mornings are just so hard for me, which is strange since I've always been a morning person. It just takes me so long to get moving.
Not much else to report. Just wanted to pass along the counts information. I'm hoping I'll continue to feel better this week, rebuild those platelets, and be ready for treatment on Tuesday.

Thanks Rachel. Your words really inspire me. You are strength!
Rach,
Thanks for the update. So sorry about last night and the mornings. I think this week off the chemo will really help you recuperate, and then next Tues you can let those drugs come back in and fight off the cancer. Thinking about you as always.
Love,
Maren

I'm rooting for your platelet count to improve. Go easy on yourself in the morning if that's what your body needs. Sending love and positive thoughts your way. We're here for you.
Hey, Rachel-
I just wanted to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers - especially on Tuesdays!
I'm going to spend some time exploring your blog. You've found a voice here that is uniquely you, and yet so much a part of each breast cancer "experience." Thank you!
Hugs,
Evie
P.S. I always liked lemonade, or anything lemon while on chemo - if you haven't given it a try, it just might be something you can enjoy!
